WARRANTY, GUARANTEE & SUPPORT

Our products are developed and tested for demanding use. If something is wrong with a 77designz product, contact us first. We will check whether the case is covered by statutory defect rights, a voluntary manufacturer warranty, GARAN 5, Crash Replacement or technical support.

STATUTORY RIGHTS

Your mandatory statutory rights against the seller remain unaffected. A voluntary warranty or guarantee does not restrict these rights. For private consumers, the mandatory rules of the country of purchase apply. For business customers (§ 14 BGB), the agreed B2B terms and applicable law apply.

77DESIGNZ 5-YEAR MANUFACTURER WARRANTY

Unless a product page states different or more specific coverage, the original private purchaser receives a voluntary five-year manufacturer warranty from the original delivery date on 77designz-branded components against material and manufacturing defects.

If a covered defect occurs under normal intended use, 77designz may repair the product or replace the affected product or component at its discretion. The warranty period remains tied to the original delivery date and does not restart or extend after a repair or replacement.

This manufacturer warranty does not cover crash or impact damage, normal wear, cosmetic wear, surface finishes, incorrect installation or torque, incompatible components, modifications, misuse, insufficient maintenance, textiles, grips, consumables, wear parts or third-party products unless expressly stated otherwise.

GARAN 5 — FREE 5-YEAR DURABILITY GUARANTEE

Covered products

GARAN 5 is offered worldwide to private end customers who purchase a marked product new from 77designz or an authorised dealer. It runs for five years from the original delivery date and covers the complete product as supplied; for the stems this includes the supplied titanium bolts.

If a covered product does not retain its required function and performance under normal intended use, 77designz will repair or replace the affected product free of charge, including necessary shipping, labour and materials.

GARAN 5 does not cover crash or impact damage, incorrect installation or torque, incompatible components, modifications, misuse, insufficient maintenance or normal cosmetic wear. Grips, wear parts and products not expressly marked GARAN do not carry GARAN 5.

GARAN 5 applies to private consumers (§ 13 BGB), not to B2B customers (§ 14 BGB), unless expressly confirmed in writing. The five-year period does not restart or extend after repair or replacement. Statutory rights remain unaffected.

SECOND OWNERS

The voluntary manufacturer warranty and GARAN 5 are not automatically transferred to a second owner. Second owners can still contact us for technical support and may apply for Crash Replacement.

50% CRASH REPLACEMENT

Crash Replacement is a separate voluntary goodwill programme for original and second owners of genuine 77designz and KAVENZ products damaged outside guarantee or warranty coverage.

After individual assessment and written approval, we may offer 50% off the current regular retail price of the part that actually needs replacement. For a modular product or frame this may be only the affected component. Availability and compatibility apply. There is no automatic entitlement.

A product or part supplied through Crash Replacement does not extend or renew an existing warranty or guarantee and does not start a new voluntary warranty or guarantee. Existing coverage for unaffected parts continues only until its original expiry date. Statutory remedies for defects in a paid replacement part remain unaffected.

HOW TO START A CLAIM

Contact us first and provide your contact details, product and model, proof of purchase if available, a short description of what happened and clear photos. Please do not send the product before receiving our instructions.
